Singapore Tourist Travel Pass on MRT Train

The Singapore Tourist Pass offers tourists the benefit of unlimited rides on the MRT and LRT city trains and basic bus services for the duration of the validity of the pass. SMRT is the acronym Singapore Mass Rapid Transit, more commonly known as MRT by the locals. LRT stands for Light Rail Transit which is a rail transport system at satellite towns. The Singapore Tourist Pass costs S$8 per day. (S$8 for 1-Day pass, S$16 for 2-Day pass and S$24 for 3-Day pass).

Passes bought or issued in Singapore at authorised sales counters come with a rental deposit of S$10 which is refundable, so long as the card is returned within 5 days of issuance. If you will have lesser trips, you can purchase single-trip ticket at the station.

Your savings to use the Pass depends on your intended travel plans around Singapore. MRT fares range from S$0.66 to S$3.04 while bus fares range from S$0.67 to S$1.58 for a single trip when paying by ez-link card. Basic bus services run from 5.00am till 12:00 midnight while MRT and LRT trains can run from 5:30am to 12:30am.

Note that bus and trains do NOT accept cash or coins.
